Wok Box started in 2004 as a single storefront on Jasper Avenue in downtown Edmonton, with lines wrapping around the block from day one. The idea was simple: Asian food beyond the mall food court, cooked fresh in a real wok a few steps from where you order. The South Hill location is a single-storey building. There's free parking in the lot, and the route R1 bus stops right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. There are booths, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Saturday, Sunday, kids twelve and under eat free. The menu runs on wings, plus poutine, tenders, noodles, and stir-fry. Service is quick and friendly.
