The Pickle Barrel opened in 1971 as an 85-seat Jewish deli on Leslie Street in North York, with a lineup outside the day the doors opened. The menu has grown past 300 items; the idea never changed. The Bramalea location is a two-storey building. It sits in the Glam Bar Bazaar plaza, with free parking in the lot, and the route 8 bus stops right outside. Inside it has a modern-minimalist feel. There's a patio, it takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Tuesday, kids twelve and under eat free with an adult entrée.
