Hooters was founded in 1983 in Clearwater, Florida, by six businessmen with no restaurant experience and an appetite for chicken wings; they were so sure it would fail they incorporated on April Fools' Day. It became a phenomenon instead. The CityPlace location is a single-storey storefront, steps from CN Tower. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There's a patio, and it's wheelchair accessible. On Sunday, kids twelve and under eat free. The menu runs on wings, plus fries, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
