East Side Mario's opened in 1987, inspired by the noise and abundance of Manhattan's Little Italy. The original logo was the Statue of Liberty holding a tomato, and the unlimited soup, salad, and garlic homeloaf has anchored the table ever since. The Clayton Park West location is a single-storey building, steps from Petro-Canada. There's free parking in the lot, and the route 21 bus stops right outside. There's a patio, it takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Tuesday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée.
