Denny's started as Danny's Donuts in Lakewood, California in 1953 and has run around the clock since 1956. The first Canadian location opened in Vancouver in 1970, and more than 70 now serve breakfast all day across the country. The Walnut Grove location is a single-storey building. There's free parking in the lot, and streetcars on routes 501 and 595 stop right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. There are booths, there's a patio, and strollers fit easily. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Tuesday, Sunday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée. Service is quick and friendly. It handles groups well.
