Denny's started as Danny's Donuts in Lakewood, California in 1953 and has run around the clock since 1956. The first Canadian location opened in Vancouver in 1970, and more than 70 now serve breakfast all day across the country. The Southwest Calgary location is a single-storey building. It sits in the Kingsland Village plaza, with free parking in the lot, and the route 81 bus stops right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. There are booths, and it's wheelchair accessible. On Tuesday, Sunday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée. The menu runs on steak, plus burgers, eggs benedict, omelette, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
