Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Wye Gardens location is a single-story strip mall unit with beige stucco walls, brown stone veneer columns, large red BOSTON PIZZA channel letters, and red circular logo on facade. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 401 and 403 stop right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There are booths, there's a patio, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner. 👍Well liked, moderately priced CUISINE Pizza, pasta, wings, ribs.
