Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Polo Park location is a single-story strip mall restaurant with grey stucco exterior, large glass windows, and prominent white circular Boston Pizza sign with red and blue logo, steps from CF Polo Park. There's free parking in the lot, and the route FX4 bus stops right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There's a patio, strollers fit easily, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
