Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Innisfail location is a single-story strip mall restaurant with beige stone and red brick facade, large Boston Pizza sign in red letters with circular logo, and grey metal canopy over glass entrance doors, steps from Innisfail Health Centre. There's free parking in the lot. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game. There are booths, there's a patio, and strollers fit easily. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on wings, plus burgers, pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. Service is quick and friendly. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner. Crayons come out for the kids.
