Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Dorset Park location is a single-story strip mall end unit with light tan stone veneer lower section, grey metal and beige stucco upper section, prominent red canopy over entrance with large white Boston Pizza sign featuring circular red BP logo, steps from Scarborough Town Centre. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 21 and 43 stop right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There are booths, there's a patio, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner.
