Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Alliston location is a single-story strip mall unit with tan brick base and dark grey metal siding, featuring prominent red Boston Pizza lettering and circular BP logo on orange accent panel. There's free parking in the lot. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game. There are booths, there's a patio, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner. It's a family crowd.
