Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Westbank location is a two-story standalone building with beige stucco walls and brown brick trim, featuring large windows and a front patio, steps from Shell. There's free parking in the lot. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There are booths, strollers fit easily, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pasta, plus burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and salads. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner.
