Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Silver Heights location is a single-story standalone restaurant with dark grey stucco walls, red brick accents, large front windows, and prominent red 'BOSTON PIZZA' channel letters with circular BP logo on the facade, steps from Assiniboine River. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 22 and 220 stop right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There's a patio, strollers fit easily, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
