Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The South Surrey location is a single-story brown brick and beige stucco strip mall end unit with prominent red and white circular Boston Pizza logo sign on grey metal tower, steps from Semiahmoo Shopping Centre. There's free parking in the lot, and the route 855 bus stops right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. There are booths, there's a patio, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
