Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Willowdale location is a modern high-rise ground floor storefront with large glass windows, grey concrete and metal framing, featuring prominent red Boston Pizza channel letter signage, on Yonge at North York Centre, steps from the North York Centre subway station. There's free parking in the lot. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game. There are booths, there's a patio, and it takes reservations. The washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly.
