Boston Pizza opened in Edmonton in 1964, named by founder Gus Agioritis for a city he dreamed of visiting. It grew into Canada's largest casual dining chain, with a family dining room on one side and a sports bar on the other. The Greens on Gardiner location is a single-story strip mall end unit with dark grey brick, prominent red stucco accent panel, large glass windows, and circular Boston Pizza logo. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 22 and 60 stop right outside. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game. There are booths, there's a patio, and strollers fit easily. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. Kids ten and under eat free every day. The menu runs on pizza, plus burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Service is quick and friendly. It's a wings-and-beer room at heart, so go in expecting a sports bar, not a quiet dinner. There are arcade games. 👍Well liked, moderately priced CUISINE Pizza, pasta, wings, ribs.
