Swiss Chalet has roasted chicken on a spit since 1954. The restaurant took its name from the Alpine look of the first location on Bloor Street in Toronto. That same rotisserie chicken, fresh-cut fries, and infamous "Chalet" dipping sauce survives today. The Bower location has free parking in the lot, and buses on routes R1 and R11 stop right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Wednesday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée.
