Swiss Chalet has roasted chicken on a spit since 1954. The restaurant took its name from the Alpine look of the first location on Bloor Street in Toronto. That same rotisserie chicken, fresh-cut fries, and infamous "Chalet" dipping sauce survives today. The Davisville location is a single-storey building on Eglinton at Eglinton, steps from the Eglinton subway station and Eglinton Park. It sits in the Rio Can plaza, and buses on routes 34 and 74 stop right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. It's wheelchair accessible.
