Swiss Chalet has roasted chicken on a spit since 1954. The restaurant took its name from the Alpine look of the first location on Bloor Street in Toronto. That same rotisserie chicken, fresh-cut fries, and infamous "Chalet" dipping sauce survives today. There's free parking in the lot, and the route 70 bus stops right outside. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Wednesday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée. The menu runs on fries, plus parmigiana, ribs, tenders, and pizza.
