Swiss Chalet has roasted chicken on a spit since 1954. The restaurant took its name from the Alpine look of the first location on Bloor Street in Toronto. That same rotisserie chicken, fresh-cut fries, and infamous "Chalet" dipping sauce survives today. The Carling location is a single-storey building. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 10 and 111 stop right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Wednesday, kids ten and under eat free with an adult entrée. Service is quick and friendly.
