L'Académie opened in 1984 on Saint-Denis Street in Montreal, serving fine Italian-French cooking at reasonable prices. The Chomedey location is a single-storey building, steps from Centropolis. There's free parking in the lot, and buses on routes 61 and 70 stop right outside. Inside it has an upscale-casual feel. Maybe more for grown-ups, but the Sunday kids deal makes it an easy family stop. There are booths, there's a patio, and strollers fit easily. It takes reservations, and the washroom is wheelchair accessible. On Sunday, kids twelve and under eat free. The menu runs on pasta, plus pizza, mussels, poutine, and parmigiana.
