Three brothers, Paul, Peter, and Perry Jeffery, founded Kelseys in Oakville in 1978, backed by their parents' life savings and inspired by road trips to American roadhouses. The name came from their favourite Chicago restaurant on Kelseys Road. The Meadowvale location sits in Heartland Town Centre, and buses on routes 39 and 61 stop right outside. Inside it has a family-casual feel. There are booths. On Tuesday, kids twelve and under eat free with an adult entrée.
