Three brothers, Paul, Peter, and Perry Jeffery, founded Kelseys in Oakville in 1978, backed by their parents' life savings and inspired by road trips to American roadhouses. The name came from their favourite Chicago restaurant on Kelseys Road. The South Orillia location sits in the West Ridge Place plaza. Inside it's a proper sports bar with TVs for the game and a full bar. Maybe more for grown-ups, but the Tuesday kids deal makes it an easy family stop. There are booths. On Tuesday, kids twelve and under eat free with an adult entrée. The menu runs on wings, plus ribs, burgers, pasta, and tenders. Kelseys runs kids-eat-free at select locations, and this is one of them. Service is quick and friendly.
