Three brothers, Paul, Peter, and Perry Jeffery, founded Kelseys in Oakville in 1978, backed by their parents' life savings and inspired by road trips to American roadhouses. The name came from their favourite Chicago restaurant on Kelseys Road. The Sudbury location is a single-storey building. Buses on routes 14 and 29 stop right outside. Inside it has a modern-minimalist feel. On Tuesday, kids twelve and under eat free with an adult entrée.
