Kids eat free at Wing House Monday.

Kids under 10 eat free at Wing House on Mondays from the kids menu, up to two kids per family, dine-in. The deal is posted in the restaurants themselves, on the Lindsay daily-specials wall and on Chesley's sidewalk sign. The kids menu is the photographed kind: nuggets, a small burger, wings, or chicken fingers, each with fries.

Chicken wings in a hundred-plus flavours, sports-bar rooms, and a footprint of small Ontario towns most chains pass over.

Limited to kids 10 and under, up to two children per family, dine-in only.

Wing House began with founder and CEO Ramesh Siva, who tells the story himself on the company site: he started out tending bar and built Wing House into a proudly Canadian-owned franchise. The wings come in more than a hundred flavours by the company's own count, and the menu is built around them: some twenty kinds of fries, sixteen wraps, quesadillas, chicken and beef burgers, and ribs in eleven flavours of their own. Select locations carry a Flavour Fusion line with tandoori chicken and butter chicken with naan.

The footprint speaks plainly enough: small-town Ontario, from Massey to Port Burwell to Fenelon Falls, in places most chains pass over, with more Canadian locations listed as coming soon. The rooms run sports-bar style, with the game on the screens and wings in checkered-paper baskets. Most locations are licensed and full-service; a couple run as takeout-first express counters.
