Leandre Bourque and Allard Robichaud opened a small pizza takeout in Shediac, New Brunswick in 1968; a year later Bernard Imbeault and two friends bought the shop, named it Pizza Delight, and franchised the secret sauce across Atlantic Canada and into Ontario. By 2000 the chain had grown to 180 locations across seven provinces, and after years under the Imvescor banner it joined MTY Food Group in 2017, still deeply rooted in the communities it serves.
Along the way it evolved from takeout joint to full sit-down family restaurant: pasta, wings, nachos, and quarter-chicken entrees joined the pizza, and the garlic cheese fingers achieved legend. The kids-eat-free locations are two in Nova Scotia, in downtown Bridgewater and downtown Truro.
