The kids menu itself comes with a side, a drink and a cookie, and a 55 Plus menu of smaller portions covers the other end of the table.

The Perkins story starts as a pancake house in Cincinnati in 1958, by the brand's own telling, and the in-store bakery arrived in 1986. Perkins crossed into Canada in 1988 with a Thunder Bay location. The Niagara Falls restaurant opened in 2001 inside the Falls Avenue entertainment complex, by the Skyline Hotel and Waterpark, and bills itself as the brand's flagship, with a reinvented menu and redesigned decor.

Breakfast anchors the menu and runs all day: omelets, benedicts, pancakes, French toast. The brand claims two dozen kinds of pancakes and waffles. The bakery case is the other signature, with fruit pies, cream pies, and Mammoth Muffins, and the coffee comes as a bottomless pot with its own menu name.
