Kids eat free at Kelseys Original Roadhouse Tuesday.

Kelseys runs kids eat free on Sundays: one free kids meal per adult entree for kids 12 and under, dine-in at participating locations. The kids menu covers burgers, wings, pasta, and chicken fingers in kid-sized portions. Kelseys also partners with BGC Canada: a Kelseys Kids Card donation provides three free kids meals, and every Baby Shark Lemonade sold supports the clubs.

The four-cheese spinach dip, New York-style wings, and hand-pressed fresh-ground burgers.

Three brothers, Paul, Peter, and Perry Jeffery, founded Kelseys in Oakville, Ontario in 1978, after road trips to American roadhouses convinced them Canada needed Buffalo-style wings and loaded potato skins of its own. Their parents backed the venture with their life savings, and new Ontario liquor laws allowing stand-up bars for the first time helped the concept take off. The name honours the brothers' favourite Chicago restaurant on Kelseys Road.

Expansion through the 1990s took Kelseys coast to coast, with the chain licensing the Cheers theme song until 2008. Recipe Unlimited, then Cara Operations, acquired Kelseys in 1999, and a 2015 rebrand from Kelsey's Neighbourhood Bar & Grill to Kelseys Original Roadhouse returned the focus to its roadhouse roots. Over 65 locations operate today, most in Ontario with sites in New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
