Kids 12 and under eat free at Buffet des Continents every day, one child per paying adult. The buffet suits every appetite, from familiar dishes to the international spread, and the weekend brunch draws a crowd. The themed dining rooms, with their suspension bridges and Eiffel Tower, are an attraction in themselves.

Over 150 dishes from around the world, live cooking stations, and dining rooms wild enough to include a suspension bridge and a replica Eiffel Tower base.

Buffet des Continents opened its first restaurant in 1995 in Charlesbourg, near Quebec City, as a traditional international and Chinese buffet, then reimagined itself in 1999 as a high-end buffet of favourite dishes from around the world. The spaces became the signature as much as the food: Trois-Rivieres arrived in 2003 with live cooking stations in view of the dining room, Gatineau in 2007 with a tropical forest theme, Mascouche in 2010 with 850 seats and a replica of the Eiffel Tower base, then Saint-Jerome and Drummondville.

The buffet spans Chinese, Italian, Greek, Mexican, and Canadian favourites, with chefs preparing pasta, pizza, and grilled items to order. The chain also runs an annual non-perishable food drive that has collected over 50,000 pounds of food and served free meals to thousands.
